This webinar explored the policy landscape of California’s cap-and-trade program and evaluated recent literature on the program's performance. The discussion traced the program from its origins under AB 32, through the updates of AB 398, and into the current legislative conversations around extending the program beyond 2030. Speakers also discussed recent scientific evidence speaking to the program's cost effectiveness, reductions in greenhouse gases, and reductions in local air pollution.
